Eating in at the Highland Lanes snack bar fulfills all expectations of a bowling alley lunch. Greasy thin burger served up from a snack bar window. Got the burger meal deal for $5.78 (after tax). Burger + fries + drink. Burger is griddle cooked, thin thin, fairly dry, but just as expected. Nicely toasted bun. Wrapped in the requisite translucent paper, allowing the grease-laden bun to shimmer through the wrapping. Basically, a picture-perfect greasy thin burger plate.
Fries are fresh cut and are good. Tater tots are offered also, always a plus.
The place embodies the old bowling alley spirit, with a pro shop, lounge, snack bar and game room. Even an old fashioned credit card swiping machine with the carbon copy slips.
It's an easy lunch place--no frills, and plenty of space when I was there (there were quite a few people bowling, but only one other table was occupied).

Carlos, Martin and I have had many lunches at Highland. Cheeseburger with a big slice of Texas white onion, Hot hand cut Fries and Dr. Pepper. Thats lunch my Dr. warns me about, then I catch him there eating a double cheeseburger. Yea!
